A Pinch of This ~ A Dash of That

Portuguese Sausage Soup

This is an old Rachel Ray recipe. When I first saw the ingredients, It didn't appeal to me, but I tried it, and now it's my favorite. The spices in the sausage give it wonderful flavor!

1 lb. ground sweet sausage,browned and drained
1 med. onion chopped
chopped garlic to taste
3 medium white potatoes,peeled and diced
1-15 oz. can garbanzo beans (chick peas)
1 large can diced tomatoes
2 quart chicken broth
1-16 oz. bag frozen chopped spinach

Add all ingredients in large soup pot and bring to a boil , then turn to simmer until potatoes are tender.Serve and enjoy!
